Shell art inspiration at the Johnson History Museum
Yesterday was a great day for inspiration! I really love this local Palm Beach History Museum in downtown West Palm Beach. One of the exhibits that I always find so interesting is the wonderful shell art by the Conch’s which were native residents of the Bahama Islands and settled in the West Palm Beach area in the late 1800s. I recently found out that one of my close friend’s grandmother worked on this exquisite natural design.
I work with many different types of shells in my jewelry designs and find this museum displays a great example of the natural beauty of the sea
