Kazuri beads from Africa
Yesterday, I attended the G&LW show in Orlando, Florida. It is a trade show that is taking place in Kissimmee, Florida this weekend. It is always fun to see the vendors from all over the country that I have known for many years. We used to live, part-time in Farmington, Ct for several years and it gave me the opportunity to come in contact with many shop owners around the country. The gem shows in New England and New York City are always fabulous.
My first sighting of Kazuri beads, happened in Connecticut. There was a shop that carried some beautiful, Kazuri beads. These beads are made by struggling woman in Africa who are trying to support their families. I was impressed with their excellent craftsmanship. The colors and shapes of these small treasures are incredible.
I met vendor this weekend from Michigan that sells these fabulous African beads. The selection at the show was wonderful and I wanted to share the information with you.
