Paris Flee markets
I love to visit Paris in the Spring time, really anytime is fine with me. We have been to Paris several time but I fine myself wanting to get to all the flee markets in this exciting city.
The most famous is Clignancourt (pronounced “Clee-nyahn-cour”) and also known as Le Marché aux Puces de Saint-Ouen. It’s just outside the 18th arrondissement. Another is the Porte de Vanves flea market, in the 14th. A third is the flea market by Porte de Montreuil, located right over the border of the 20th arrondissement on the eastern edge of Paris. There’s also a small flea market by place d’Aligre in the 12th arrondiseement, which could be combined with an outing to the Marché d’Aligre food market.
I really love Clignancourt flee and antique markets. I love the french limoges pendants and antique trim. It is a place where I have found many baubles, pendant and antique textile which I incorporate in my jewelry designs. Clignancourt is amazing place for a jewelry designer.
Porte de Vanves flea market is a different atmosphere. I have purchased some great antique lambskins and suedes which I used as fringe in my one-of-a-kind necklaces. If you get to Paris, please visit these wonderful locations for amazing and unique findings.
