Gem trade shows in Florida
I have attended many, small trade shows in South Florida, but the the GLW show in Orlando, Florida is my favorite. I miss going to the big shows in New York and New England, but I spend most of my time these days shopping at the GWL show in central Florida. The trade show is important to me because I can see over 100 vendors at one time.
The shows comes to Orlando, 3 times a year, January, May and October. It is held at a very convenient location in Kissimmee, Florida at Osceola Heritage Park. I generally attend the show for one day. The show always runs for 3 days. I spend a good seven hours at the show, combing over everything stone and pearl.
This show is good and I have also seen there huge set up in Tucson, Arizona at the Gem Mall. I am familiar with many of these vendors because I have been shopping with them for years in Orlando, Tucson, New York, West Springfield, Mass, Marlborough, Mass and Hartford, Ct.
It is good to see all these vendor friends several times a year. They bring new unusual gems and pearls to every show. I am always looking for the unusual components for my work. This show is a good size with plenty of merchandise on display. It is important to me to select everything myself in person rather than relying on the internet and ordering something that I cannot feel or touch. They are also very strict. You cannot get into the show unless you have registered tax certificate.
