Miami Jewelry District
One of my favorite places to spend the day is the Miami Jewelry District which consist of the famous Seybold Building which is the home to many jewelers and jewelry stores ( NE 1st Street and Flagler Street between NE 2nd Street and Miami Avenues).
The basement and first and second floors of the Seybold are filled with shops carrying set and loose diamonds, very high-end timepieces and mind boggling custom-made jewelry. I cannot tell you how much fun and knowledge I received the jewelers in this building. I could spend days in this area alone, looking for stones and findings for my jewelry.
There are many interesting stores on this street alone. I buy from several shops in this downtown location. I shop Lanshang for my pearls and stones because they have the biggest collection in the area. They are located just down the street from the Seybold building. I love Rody’s and Jewelry Display for my boxes.
The fabric and trim stores are abundant in this area. I was just in La Casa De Las Viejas last week, searching for trim and ribbons for my tags. The inventory in this store is spectacular and located directly across the Street from the Seybold building. Look to the right of La Casa De Las Viejas and you will see the Jewelry Display store.
This area is so magical. The merchants are wonderful and the Cuban coffee shops are incredible. If you get a chance to Visit downtown Miami, you will have a wonderful day being able to pick up many new baubles for your jewelry business.
