Keep my jewelry studio organize
I love my new studio. Before the renovations, I had jewelry all over the place even though I thought that I was somewhat organized. There was a big need for improvement.
I had a cabinet maker, rebuild my studio with many nooks which worked very well to house my designs. I work on a very large table which takes up a complete wall, one side of the studio is all my finished work, ready to go out the door. Everything is tagged and in new condition. I am a perfectionist who pays a great deal of attention to detail.
The opposite wall is home to all of my inventory of beads, pearls, sterling silver, 14 k gold filled findings. The extra room in this studio is for all of the different materials that I work with. I love and strife for the unusual combinations, having shopped in many different countries in Europe for vintage and one of a kind, antique component.
I spend every day working in my studio, sometimes for very long hours, but I enjoy every minute of my work. It has been so rewarding and has given me so many opportunities that I never imagined. I take time out every day to exercise by walking, swimming or practicing Bikram Yoga which keeps me in good shape because you cannot spend your whole life sitting in a chair designing jewelry.
If you are not exercising on a regular basic, thinking about starting slowly, it will definitely give you a better frame of mind. It only takes 20 minutes a day to do something good for yourself.
