Felted Wool Necklace
Today, I would like to show you some of my felted wool necklaces. I have always love textiles and became interested in hand dyed wool while living in Connecticut.
While visiting the Hampton’s, I was lucky enough to take lessons from Irene Heckel who is world known for her amazing felted creations. This is where I originally learn this painstaking craft. There are luscious colors to combine for making amazing one-of-a-kind jewelry.
This craft is not for anyone that it in a rush to make money; it is very labor intensive, but truly worth the end results. I learned to combine fresh water pearls, semi precious stone with amazing colorful felted-wool balls. You may choose to make any shape that you loved, but I just love a round ball of any size. There are many tricks to this craft which I have learned through trial and error. These striking necklace are created with high quality felting wool.
The images below are necklaces that I have created and sold in the most amazing high end stores in New York City and Massachusetts. Happy Felting!
