Visiting the Miami Jewelry District
If I cannot get to New York City, the Jewelry District in Miami is my next favorite spot jewelry supplies. Recently, I traveled to downtown Miami on the new Brightline train from West Palm Beach to Miami. I have been visiting the Miami Jewelry District for over 20 years, searching for all the best jewelry supply stores and sources.
The beautiful Brightline train takes you within a few blocks of NE 1st Street, the location of the fantastic Seybold Jewelry Building. All of the best jewelry supply stores are within 5 minutes of the Seybold building- even though I could spend days just in this building alone! It houses countless fine jewelers, casters, suppliers, jewelry repair studios, and so much more! The Seybold Building is my source for the highest-quality jewelry findings and stones.
Across the street from the Seybold building is La Casa de las Veijas, a wonderful store for fabric, feathers, ribbons and every other notion under the sun. (There are also many great high-end fabric stores located nearby in the district.)
Rosenthal Jewelry Supply has everything imaginable that a jeweler could ever want! I bought my flex shaft in this store many years ago. Everyone is extremely helpful in this supply store.
Turning the corner onto NE Miami Ave, you will see the home of the Lanshang Corporation. The Lanshang is an tremendous source for beads, semi-precious stones, freshwater pearls, thread, and an almost endless supply of jewelry findings. This is a very large, trustworthy and dependable company! Be sure to ask for Sue or Yessinia when visiting the Miami location.
I am crazy about the Miami Jewelry District; I love the coffee, the Cuban food and especially the people!
